NACE Grant Program
The FHWA has finalized comprehensive changes in signing standards. These new standards will require government agencies to maintain minimum levels of reflectivity on traffic signs and an upgrade to higher performance reflective sheeting may be necessary. The purpose of this grant is to help provide financial support to local government agencies that are members of NACE in their efforts to upgrade their signage to align with the new FHWA minimum standards
Grant criteria:

Applicant must be a county or city agency

Member in good standing with NACE

Agency is committed to upgrading sign standards from engineer grade Type I or II to a prismatic material (Type III, IV, X or proposed Type XI)
Grant Guidelines:
- Call Newman Traffic Signs at (800) 437-9770 to go over your proposed project.
- Click on http://nacegrant.brandspringsolutions.com to submit your grant application and/or become a member of NACE
- The grant must be used to upgrade current sign materials from engineer grade (Type I or II) material to a prismatic material (Type III/IV/X or Proposed Type XI).
- The grant must be used within six months of grant award date.
- Orders must specify 3M™ High Intensity Prismatic Sheeting (Type III/IV/X) or 3M™ Diamond Grade™ DG³ Reflective Sheeting (Proposed Type XI) material.
- The grant number must be supplied at the time of the order with Newman Traffic Signs. A copy of the grant must also be submitted to Newman Traffic Signs.
- The entire grant must be redeemed against one order and the will be subtracted from your Newman Traffic Signs order.
- Only one grant is available per agency.
